On Thursday, July 9, 2015, at approximately 10:50 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle, fatality crash on Interstate 84 at milepost 27, on the entrance ramp.

Robert Farris, 41, of Caldwell, was driving his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on the ramp to enter Interstate 84. Farris failed to negotiate the curve. The motorcycle hit the concrete island and Farris was ejected. Farris was not wearing a helmet and succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash. Next of kin has been notified.

The road was blocked for approximately an hour and forty-five minutes while crews worked to clear the scene.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police is currently investigating a crash eastbound I84 milepost 27, the Centennial exit in Caldwell. The eastbound lanes are currently blocked and the fast lane on the westbound side is also blocked. Drivers are requested to use caution when driving through the area.

More information will be released as it becomes available.
