On Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 9:43 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash on the offramp for westbound Interstate 84 at milepost 46.

Madison T. Leger, age 18, of Meridian, was driving a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero, and made an unsafe lane change onto the westbound Eagle Road offramp. Leger's vehicle was struck by a 2007 Peterbilt Semi, driven by Michael G. Cullum, age 39, of Meridian. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. Leger was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Meridian.

The offramp was blocked for almost two hours due to the disabled semi and construction. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

At this time the Idaho State Police are investigating a two vehicle injury crash involving a commercial vehicle, westbound on Interstate 84 on the Eagle road offramp. Currently, the entire offramp is blocked. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.

The Eagle offramp will be blocked until crews are able to clear the scene.

Further information will be released as it becomes available.
