On Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at approximately 1:35 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, fatal crash on State Highway 167 at milepost 3.7. A juvenile driver, age 15, was southbound on SH-167 in a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Christopher Standage, 33, of Mountain Home, was northbound on SH-167 in a 1988 Chrysler New Yorker. The Trailblazer went off the right shoulder of the road; the driver overcorrected, came back on the road, and crossed the center line, where the Trailblazer struck the New Yorker. Both vehicles came to rest off the left shoulder of the road.

Standage succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. The three occupants of the Trailblazer were transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by ground ambulance. In addition to the driver, Jodi Jewett, 36, of Grandview, and a 12 year old juvenile were in the Trailblazer.
