Pethtel was traveling westbound on US Highway 12 in a 2000 Kia Spectra. He crossed the center line, traveled into the eastbound lane, and left the roadway. The Spectra came to rest on its driver side just inside the Lewis County line. The eastbound lane was blocked for approximately 1.5 hours.
