On October 17, 2014 at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 84 at the 216 off-ramp, east of Burley.

Makayla Muir, 18, of Kimberly, was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry. Muir was exiting at the off-ramp when the vehicle went off the right shoulder. Muir overcorrected and the vehicle went across the lane and rolled off the left shoulder where it came to rest on its top.

Muir and her front seat passenger, Eduardo Encinas, 16, of Jerome, were both wearing seatbelts and were not transported to the hospital. The four juvenile passengers in the rear seat were not wearing seatbelts and were transported via ground ambulance to Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley.

The 216 exit ramp was blocked for approximately and hour and a half while crews worked to clear the scene.
