On October 21, 2014, at 5:49 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash at the intersection of Duff Lane and Purple Sage Road in Canyon County. Christopher Brisco, 32, and his passenger, Clinton Becker, 41, both of Nampa, were northbound on Duff Lane in a 2013 Isuzu box truck. Brisco failed to stop at the stop sign for Purple Sage Road. The vehicle crossed into the intersection where it was struck by a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Austin Colton, 29, of Middleton. Both vehicles went off the roadway, down a ravine, and rolled.

Austin's passenger, Sheena Colton, 29, also of Middleton, was transported by air ambulance. Austin, his three juvenile passengers, and the two occupants of the Isuzu were all transported by ground ambulance. All seven individuals were wearing their seatbelts, and were taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

The crash is still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
