On April 29, 2014, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle crash on eastbound I84 near milepost 42, just west of the Ten Mile exit, in Ada County.

Daniel Boren, 51 of Middleton, driving a 2001 Ford Explorer, Darlene Dickerson, 36 of Nampa, driving a 2013 Ford Fiesta and Zachary Bass, 34 of Caldwell, driving a 2011 Chevrolet HHR, all were traveling eastbound on I84 in the lane closest to the median, when Dickerson and Bass stopped for traffic subsequently pushing Boren to rear end Dickerson, pushing Dickerson's vehicle into Bass.

The lane closest to the median was blocked for approximately an hour.

Two subjects were transported to Saint Luke's Meridian Medical Center by ground ambulance.
