On Friday, April 11, at approximately 1:27 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a motorcycle injury crash on the Franklin Road eastbound onramp to Interstate 184. Robert Coy, 62, of Boise, was exiting on the Franklin Road eastbound offramp from Interstate 184, on a 2011 Kawasaki Motorcycle, when he failed to negotiate the corner of the ramp and veered off the left shoulder. Coy traveled through the gore onto the onramp, where he was ejected from the motorcycle.

Coy was transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Coy was not wearing his helmet at the time of the crash.
The eastbound onramp to Interstate 184 from Franklin Road was blocked for approximately 2 and a half hours. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
