UPDATE - Two Crashes on the Perrine Bridge

On Monday, March 17, 2014, at approximately 11:20 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated two separate vehicle crashes on US-93 at milepost 50, on the Perrine Bridge. John Frederickson, 49 of Nampa, was traveling north in a 1998 Kenworth semi truck and Thierry Barthez, 48 of Quebec, Canada, was traveling south in a 2012 Kenworth semi truck. A severe gust of wind overturned the semi trucks, blocking the north and southbound lanes of traffic.

All lanes of traffic were blocked for approximately 4 hours to remove the semi trucks from the bridge. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

The Idaho State Police are investigating two seperate crashes on US-93 at milepost 50, on the Perrine Bridge. One is in the northbound lanes and one in the southbound lanes. All lanes are currently blocked. Motorists are advised to avoid the area, and to expect significant delays. More information will be released as it becomes available.
