Update: Single Vehicle Rollover Near Jerome

*Update*

On January 24, 2014, Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle rollover on I84 near Jerome, at milepost 167.
Dallas Scoffield, age 31, of Gooding, was travelling east, with four children, in a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban. Scoffield drove over some ice and left the roadway off the right shoulder. The vehicle then rolled, ejecting two of the passengers. The driver and three of the four children were transported to Saint Luke's Magic Valley Hospital in Twin Falls by ground ambulance. Both eastbound lanes of travel were blocked for approximately twenty minutes, then one eastbound lane was blocked for approximately two and a half hours while the scene was cleared.

The driver and two of the child passengers were wearing their seatbelts. The two ejected child passengers were not wearing seatbelts.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

At this time, Idaho State Police is investigating a single vehicle roll-over crash on Interstate 84 at milepost 167, on the Eastbound side, near Jerome. The lanes of travel are currently down to one eastbound lane and traffic is moving slowly. Drivers are encouraged to drive cautiously through the area due to slick road conditions, and to expect some delays. More information will be released as it becomes available.
