Two Vehicle Injury Crash on State Highway 50 near Kimberly

On December 6th, 2012, at 7:30 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash on State Highway 50, near Kimberly, Idaho. Ivan Rivera-Lopez, age 23, of Hansen, was traveling west on State Highway 50 in a red Mercury Topaz. Jacob Ray, age 26, of Hansen, was traveling west on State Highway 50 in a blue Toyota Corolla. Rivera-Lopez had stopped to turn onto Heider Lane from State Highway 50. Ray did not yield, and struck Rivera-Lopez's vehicle from behind. Lopez-Rivera and a juvenile passenger were transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley in Twin Falls.

The westbound lanes of traffic of State Highway 50 were blocked for approximately 45 minutes. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
