On Tuesday November 13, 2012, at approximately 8:42 am the Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle injury crash on US 26 at milepost 336, near Idaho Falls. Robert Shick, 37, of Idaho Falls was traveling westbound on US26, when he failed to yield at the red light at Woodruff Ave. Shick's vehicle, a 1999 Landrover Discovery, collided with a silver 2005 Ford F150 pickup driven by Richard Lockyer, 53, of Idaho Falls, who was traveling northbound on Woodruff Ave. crossing US26. Lockyer's vehicle then collided with a 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe towing a small horse trailer that was stopped on St. Leon Road on the north side of US26 facing south. The Tahoe was driven by Ramon Vega-Marquez, 28, of Clearlake, Washington.

Shick was transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Medical Center. Lockyer and Vega-Marquez were not injured. Seatbelts were worn by all drivers and weather was not a factor in the crash.
