On Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at approximately 8:30 am, the Idaho State Police investigated a minor injury commercial vehicle crash on US 93, outside of Mackay.

Michael D. Davies, age 56, of Olympia, Washington, was driving south on US 93 in a 2007 Peterbilt hauling a load of manufactured lumber. Davies was negotiating a corner too fast and his load shifted causing the truck to roll on to its side at mile marker 116. The truck came to rest in the southbound lane, causing lane blockage for 5 hours until the truck could be removed. Davies was wearing a seatbelt.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police with assistance from Custer County Sheriff's Office, Mackay Fire, Idaho Transportation Department, and Lost River Road and Bridge.
