On September 15, 2012, at approximately 5:01 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle crash on Rapid Creek Road in Bannock County near Inkom. James Tullis, 84 of Pocatello was traveling northbound and pulled over to attempt to make a u- turn on Rapid Creek Road in a 2005 Honda Element. Kallie Sears, 18 of Preston was traveling northbound on Rapid Creek Road in a 1991 Toyota Corolla. Sears collided with Tullis. Sears and her two occupants in the Toyota Corolla were transport by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello and the names are not being released at this time. It is unknown if the occupants of the Toyota Corolla were wearing their seatbelts. The occupants of the Honda Element were wearing their seatbelts.

The road was blocked for approximately 1 1/2 hours for the investigation of the crash.
