On Thursday, July 5, 2012, at approximately 3:30pm, Rosalie Frost age 80 and her passenger Clarence Frost age 87, both from Salt Lake City, UT, were west on US 20 at mile marker 386 near Island Park, Idaho. For unknown reasons, Rosalie drove off the roadway and crashed into a tree. Rosalie was transported by Air Idaho to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, in Idaho Falls, with serious injuries. Clarence was pronounced deceased at the scene. Both subjects were wearing seat belts and both airbags in the vehicle did deploy.
Funeral arrangements are being made by Baxter's Funeral home in Ashton, Idaho. Idaho State Police were assisted on scene by Fremont County Sheriff's Deputies and Island Park EMS.
The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
