Update: Injury Crash on SH55 near Banks

****Update****

On June 23, 2012 at 3:32pm, Idaho State Police investigated an injury motorcycle crash NB on SH55 at mile marker 79, near Banks.

Terrance M. O'Connor, 45 of Kuna, was traveling NB on SH55 on a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle at a high rate of speed. O'Connor lost control of his motorcycle and hit a cement barrier on the west side of the road. O'Connor was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.

Both lanes of travel were blocked for about an hour. Idaho Department of Transportation provided traffic control.

At this time, the Idaho State Police is investigating an injury accident involving aon State Highway 55 at milepost 79 near Banks. Traffic was blocked in both directions but is now open. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible, however, because traffic is moving slowly and is still backed up for several miles. More information will be relayed when available.
