On Thursday, June 28, 2012, at 6:30 pm, Idaho State Police investigated a three vehicle crash west bound on Interstate 84 at mile marker 35. Danny Hilliard, 44 from Caldwell, Timothy Hernandez, 23 from Nampa, and Jack Gore, 56 from Ogden, were all west bound on the interstate near exit 35. Hilliard, in a GMC Sierra, started to slow due to a motorist on the side of the road. Hernandez, following Hilliard in a Saturn Ion, also slowed due to the motorist. Gore, driving a loaded commercial vehicle realized that traffic was slowing faster than he expected. Gore tried to change lanes to go around the vehicles but was unable to because of heavy traffic. Gore ran into the back of Hernandez, who was pushed into the back of Hilliard. All subjects were wearing seat belts and no air bags were deployed. Hernandez was transported to St Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Nampa by private vehicle. The right lane of travel has been blocked for the past two hours and will continue to be blocked until crews on scene get the semi truck removed. Traffic is slow moving. Use caution if in the area of this crash.

The crash is being investigated by the Idaho State Police.
