On May 21, 2012, at approximately 4:40 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 30 in Twin Falls County.

Cassidee E. Kippes, 17 years old, of Buhl, had stopped eastbound on U.S. 30 at 1700 E, preparing to make a left turn in a 1997 Nissan Pickup.

Elizandro F. Brito, 75 years old, of Twin Falls, had just come to a stop behind her in a 1997 Saturn passenger car.

Ernesto Ayala-Guarderrama, 24 years old, of Wendell, was driving a 2001 Ford Mustang, failed to yield in time, and rear-ended Brito's Saturn. The Saturn, in turn, rear-ended Kippes' pickup.

Enedina C. Brito, 60 years old, of Twins Falls was a passenger in the Saturn, and was transported by ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.

All occupants were wearing their seatbelts. Alcohol was not a factor. Both east and westbound lanes had blockage that lasted for about forty-five minutes. This crash is still under investigation by Idaho State Police.
