On May 23, 2012 at approximately 11:50 p.m. the Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle crash with injuries near milepost 47 on I15, near McCammon. Scott Mann, 40, of Pocatello was driving westbound on US30 at the US30 / I15 Junction, in a 1993 Maroon Pontiac Bonneville, when for unknown reasons he struck the guardrail on the I15 overpass. Mann overcorrected and swerved into the jersey barrier on the left shoulder where his vehicle caught fire. A passersby in the area pulled Mann from the vehicle before it was fully engulfed. Mann was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center with minor injuries. Mann was wearing a seat belt, however alcohol is believed to be a factor.

Idaho State Police was assisted at the scene by Bannock County Sheriff, Bannock County Search and Rescue and Pocatello EMS. The crash is still under investigation.
