On Thursday April 19, 2012, at approximately 12:00 pm, the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash at the intersection of East County Road and the Arbon Valley Highway. Farrel Williams, 72 of Malad, was traveling west on East County Road in a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix when he failed to stop for the stop sign at the Arbon Valley Highway. Christopher Daniels, 27 of American Falls, was traveling north on the Arbon Valley Highway in a 2000 Dodge Neon. Williams' vehicle struck Daniels vehicle head on. Daniels and his two passengers, Neil Cottam, 72 of Malad, and Dean Stott, 57 of Malad, as well as Williams, were all transported via ground ambulance to Portneuf Regional Medical Center in Pocatello where they were all treated and released for their injuries. Weather and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in this crash. The highway was blocked for approximately 45 minutes.

This crash is under investigation by Corporal Zweigart of the Idaho State Police.
