The investigation into the home invasion and death of Kevin J. Benglan, 26, of Pocatello, continues under the Eastern Idaho Critical Incident Protocol. Investigators from the Idaho State Police (Districts 5 and 6, and the Forensics Lab), the Bannock County Sheriff's Office, the Bingham County Sheriff's Office, the Idaho Falls Police Department, and the Blackfoot Police Department are working on the case. Investigators continue to conduct interviews, collect evidence and prepare reports on this case. A liaison officer has been assigned to work with the family as the investigation progresses.

Captain Eric Dayley of the Idaho State Police reminds everyone that these types of investigations take time. Captain Dayley said, "Although there may be rumors and speculation floating around as to what happened, we encourage the public to have patience and let the professionals do their jobs. We have highly competent investigators with specialized training working on this case. We ask that people do not jump to conclusions until all the facts come out."

An autopsy was performed today in Boise by Forensic Pathologist, Dr. Charles Garrison.
