On Friday November 4, 2011, at aproximately 1:37pm, the Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle fatality crash southbound on US91 at milepost 10, near Preston. Sofia Hull, 49 of Preston, was travelling northbound on US91 in a 1989 Geo Metro when for unknown reasons, she veered into the southbound lanes of travel. Hull struck a 1994 GMC Sierra driven by Forrest Cole, 18 of Franklin. Hull went off of the right shoulder of the road, and Cole's vehicle was then struck by a 1997 Chevrolet S10 driven by Chandler Marx, 19 of Preston. Hull was pronounced dead at the scene. Marx was transported to the Franklin County Medical Center by ground ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Cole was not transported. Notifications have been made to the family. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this crash. The road conditions were dry. All occupants of the vehicles were wearing their seatbelts. All lanes of travel were blocked for approximately two and a half hour
