On Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at 11:08pm, Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle roll-over on US26 at mile marker 382.5 near Irwin. Scott Bailey, 28 from Irwin, was driving a 2000 Oldsmobile eastbound on US 26 near Irwin, when he crossed the center line. He went into the oncoming lane of travel and continued across and off the road where he struck a driveway embankment. The Oldsmobile overturned coming to rest on its top. Bailey was transported by ground ambulance with non-life threatening injuries to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. The airbags in the vehicle deployed, but it is unknown at this time if seatbelts were worn. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this crash.
The crash is under investigation by Sgt S. Zaugg with assistance from Tpr. K. Barnes.
