Shortly before 9:20 PM on Monday, September 19, 2011, the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash which resulted in both drivers being hospitalized. Candida Reinke, age 40 of Filer, was southbound on 2600 E at the intersection of US30, near milepost 214. Reinke entered the intersection, where her Dodge Durango was struck by a Chevrolet Celebrity driven by Cletus Abbott, age 51 of Hollister. Both Reinke and Abbott were transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls. Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt, and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor. The crash is still under investigation by Trooper Clausing of the Idaho State Police. Trooper Gates assisted at the crash scene, as did Twin Falls County Deputies and Paramedics.
