On Tuesday, September 1, 2011, at 7:35 pm, Idaho State Police investigated a fatal crash in Kuna at the intersection of E Kings Road and Swan Falls Road. Brian A.Mulherin,33, of Kuna,was traveling west on E Kings Road in a 2002 Dodge Dakota Pickup when he failed to stop at a stop sign. John K.Orr, 45, of Kuna, was traveling south on Swan Falls Road in 1994 Chrysler New Yorker. Mulherin's vehicle broadsided Orr's vehicle. Both vehicles came to rest in a field at the southwest corner of the intersection.
Orr was pronounced deceased on scene. Orr's twelve year old son was transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by ground ambulance. Occupants of Orr's vehicle and Mulherin were wearing seatbelts. Neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in this crash.
Idaho State Police Corporal Chase was assisted by Sgt. Burke, Corporal Thompson, Corporal Carmack, Senior Trooper Bake, and Ada County Deputies.
