On August 12, 2011 at approximately 9:16 am, the Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle injury crash involving a motorcycle. James R. Auger, 39 of Meridian, Idaho was negotiating a curve while exiting westbound I-84 at the 33A off-ramp in Nampa. Auger was riding a maroon 2001 Suzuki VL800 motorcycle with his nine year old daughter as a passenger. A grey/silver SUV or Station Wagon was traveling southbound on Midland Boulevard and drifted into Auger's lane, at the end of the off-ramp merge, causing him to lose control of his motorcycle. Both Auger and his daughter were wearing helmets and sustained non-life threatening injuries; both were transported to Saint Alphonsus Nampa by ground ambulance.
Immediately after the crash occurred, the SUV stopped and the driver exited the vehicle for a short time and ultimately left the scene without providing their name, address or insurance information. The Idaho State Police is requesting anyone with information pertaining to this case to contact dispatch at 208-846-7550 or *ISP by cell. Corporal Pattis was assisted on scene by Nampa Police, and Canyon County Paramedics. The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
