On Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 12:05 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a three vehicle crash on Interstate 84 at milepost 54, the Broadway Exit.
The driver of a 2003 Dodge Durango, traveling eastbound on I84, failed to negotiate a lane shift in the roadway striking the deceleration barrels. Upon hitting the barrels, the Durango became airborne. When the Durango landed it struck a 2007 Acura MDX. The Durango again lost control and struck a 2010 Ford F350 pickup. All three vehicles came to rest in the middle of the eastbound lanes. Both lanes were blocked for around an hour and a half. Traffic was diverted using the Broadway Exit on and off ramps.

All three drivers and one passenger in the Ford pickup were uninjured and wearing their seatbelts. Alcohol is not a factor in this crash.

The names are not being released at this time. The crash is under investigation by Cpl. Lake. He was assisted by Trooper Higley and the Idaho Transportation Department.
