Update**Information Sought in Missing Person Case** Update
On April 6, 2011, Idaho State Police Detectives developed information indicating that Justin M. Hietala, a 27 year old male, has been identified as a possible person of interest in Lavina Hietala&'s disappearance. On April 1, 2011 Justin M. Hietala was arrested by the Kamiah Marshal's Office for burglary. Justin Hietala is currently in the Lewis County Jail in NezPerce, Idaho on those charges.
Anyone who may have seen Justin M. Hietala in or around Kamiah, Idaho between Monday, March 28, 2011 and Friday, April 1, 2011 is encouraged to contact Lt. Charlie Spencer by phone at (208) 799-5020, or by email at charlie.spencer@isp.idaho.gov.
Lavina I. Hietala is still missing. The Idaho State Police, Kamiah Marshal's Office, the Lewis County Sheriff's Office, the Clearwater County Sheriff's Office, and the Idaho County Sheriff's Office are still searching for Lavina. Anyone with any information concerning the whereabouts of Lavina are encouraged to contact Lt. Charlie Spencer.
