On Wednesday, April 27, 2011, Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash with injuries on Happy Valley Road at the intersection of Lewis Lane in Canyon County. Taylor Aldrich, age 17 of Kuna, driving a 1993 Dodge Shadow, was traveling northbound on Happy Valley Road when he attempted to make a left turn onto Lewis Lane. Suzanne Gross, age 54 of Kuna, was driving south on Happy Valley Road and collided with Aldrich's vehicle as he turned.

Aldrich and his passenger, Rebecca Aldrich, age 14 of Kuna, were air-lifted to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise with serious injuries. They were later listed in stable condition. Suzanne Gross and her passenger, Todd Gross, age 44 of Kuna, were examined by medical personnel at the scene and released. Alcohol is not a factor in this crash and seatbelts were worn by all occupants.

The crash is still under investigation by Trooper B. Bake. He was assisted by Sgt. Burke, Cpl. Tulleners, and Cpl. Thompson, as well as deputies from the Canyon County Sheriff's Office and Canyon County Paramedics.
