On Saturday, March 5, 2011, at approximately 9:15 am, Idaho State Police investigated a three vehicle crash near New Meadows, ID.
Vernon Fincher, 87, of McCall, ID, was travelling northbound on State Highway 55 near milepost 151. He lost control of his Hyundai Accent, slid into the southbound lane and hit a Chevrolet van driven by Brandon Edgecomb, 30, of Nampa, ID. Scott Stilwell, 47, of Eagle, ID, was northbound in a Chevrolet pickup towing a trailer. Stilwell's trailer struck Fincher's vehicle.
Fincher and Edgecomb were transported by ground ambulance to McCall Memorial Hospital where they were treated and released. Stilwell was not injured. All occupants were wearing seatbelts. The roads were snow covered.
The crash is still under investigation by Trooper M. Wright, with assistance at the scene from McCall Police Department, Adams County Sheriff's Office and medical personnel.
