Crash near Mountain Home Injures Two

On Sunday, February 13, 2011, at 7:00 am, Idaho State Police investigated a semi crash east of Mountain Home, Idaho.

William Palmer, 65, of Taylorsville, Utah, was traveling west on I84 at milepost 98 when his semi pulling three trailers went off the right shoulder of the roadway. He overcorrected, causing the tractor and trailers to overturn onto their passenger sides. The driver and passenger, Robin Palmer, 48, of Corinne, Utah, were both transported by ground ambulance to Elmore Medical Center with minor injuries. The westbound lanes of the interstate were blocked completely for four hours. All lanes are now open.

Tpr. Bailey was assisted at the crash scene by Sgt. Burke, Tpr. Ferris, Tpr. Bake, Elmore County Sheriff's Office, Mountain Home Fire Department and the Idaho Transportation Department. The crash investigation is continuing.
