On Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:30 am, Idaho State Police investigated a serious injury crash that occurred near Wilder on SH19. Michael Tuckness, 21 of Homedale, was attempting to pass another vehicle, in the fog, when he crashed head on into an Infiniti QZ56 SUV driven by Holly Young, 26 of Wilder.

Both lanes were blocked for about 2 hours for emergency crews. Holly Young was taken by ground ambulance to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell. Michael Tuckness, his passenger Kalye Tuckness, and Amber Young, passenger in the Infiniti, were taken to St Als in Boise.
Air ambulance was unable to respond due to the fog in the area.

It is unknown at this time if seatbelts were worn. Fog and icy roads are a factor in the crash.

Crash is under investigation by Trooper J Klitch, with assistance from Trooper Murakami, Trooper Nesbitt, Trooper Robertson, Trooper Langton, along with Canyon County Sherriff's Office and Canyon County EMS Personnel.
