On December 10, 2010, around 10:20 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle crash on US91 at mile marker 98, just south of Blackfoot.

Shawn Tendoy, 24 of Fort Hall, was traveling northbound on US91 in a 1999 Cadillac Deville. For unknown reasons Tendoy lost control of his vehicle and swerved into the southbound lane of travel where Richard Ramos, 50 of Burley, was traveling in a semi tractor-trailer. Ramos attempted to swerve to avoid the crash but struck Tendoy's vehicle as it crossed over the center line.

Tendoy and his passenger, Ardella Tendoy, 30 of Fort Hall, were transported to Portneuf Medical Center by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Neither Shawn nor Ardella were wearing their seat belts and had to be extricated from the vehicle. Ramos was wearing his seatbelt.

The semi tractor-trailer lost a large amount of diesel fuel, which was cleaned up by the Fort Hall Fire Department.

Trooper Aikele was assisted at the scene by Commercial Vehicle Specialist Sergeant Hanson.
