On Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at 5:00pm, Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle rollover on Interstate 84, eastbound at the Notus exit, mile marker 26. Brandon Stenton, 24 from Moscow, was eastbound on the interstate in the right lane when he attempted to make a lane change into the left lane. Another car was already in the left lane, and Stenton swerved right to avoid hitting that vehicle. Stenton overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle rolled across the right shoulder and onto Green Road where it landed on its wheels. Nathaniel Schoenfelder,24 from Moscow, a passenger in the vehicle was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Boise with neck injuries. Barbara Berger, another passenger, 24 also from Moscow, was treated and released at Mercy Medical Center in Nampa. Stenton was not injured in the crash. All subjects in the vehicle were wearing seat belts. Alcohol is not a factor, nor was the weather. The crash is under investigation by Trooper B. Higley.
